It's Saturday today. Since we had the rented car, my wife and I decided that we should pay a visit to contractors and interior designers whom we may engage to do up the house. Based on what we have read in renotalk.com, we sussed out about 4 to 5 contractors/IDs.

We started out by visiting Earnest Interiors at Eunos. As we had no prior appointments, there was no designers to meet us. Instead, we pass what we wanted to a lady who attended to us, who assured us that she will get Benedict, who is one of the highly recommended ID in renotalk to call us back.

After the first experience of having no designer to meet up with us, we decided to make some phone calls to the prospective contractor/ID to make an impromptu appointment. We called Impress21 and Ho Bee but both Henry (Impress21) and Patrick (Ho Bee) were not available. Henry told us that he will try to make an appointment for the next day while I nearly got a earful from Patrick, who lamented that we should have made an appointment earlier.

We eventually settled to visit Everlink and Boon Siew. When we called up Everlink, Timmy Ong , who is the boss of the company, said that he will have an appointment later in the day, so we quickly made our way to the office. He assured us that what we wanted to do, were of no problem to him, and he showed us samples of his work off his computer. I am not thoroughly impressed though because he appears to be too readily agreeable to what we had in mind.

After Everlink, we proceeded to visit Boon Siew and was met by Mr Low, the boss. He took down our requirements and showed us samples of his work.

In the later part of the day, we met up with Mike from Baroque D'zign. He appeared to be surprised by our visit though we have already made prior appointments to meet him today. Similar to Mr Low, he took down our requirements and advised us on what can or cannot be done.

In the evening, Henry (Impress21) called up and asked if we were available the next day for a meeting. While I asked if we were going to meet at his office, Henry proposed that since our keys are already available, he will go straight to our flat to take necessary measurements.
